Design and source interior doors, plumbing fixtures, countertops, flooring, lighting, tile, hardware, shower glass, mirror, paint colors, wallpaper, window treatments, rugs, furnishings and tabletop.
Complement the contractor’s main subcontractors with sourcing of finish carpenters, stone artisans, glass/mirror suppliers, tile installers, wallpaper hangers, etc. as needed.
Provide design direction and direct oversight for all services from beginning to end to ensure the highest quality outcome and protection from builder down time or project waste.
Millwork Design
In designing columns, staircases, built-ins, coffers, crown, wall paneling, casings and sills, my experience has shown that proportion, scale and texture are paramount. One inch either way can make all the difference. Provide initial design and work along side the carpenter to ensure that the design and the finished product are the same.
Kitchen and Vanity Design
The utility, storage, layout, and organization of a kitchen are as important as the kitchen’s overall aesthetic design. Working in conjunction with a kitchen supplier, provide a kitchen design and layout that boasts functional elegance. Working with a finish carpenter, design functional and timeless vanities for all interior and exterior bathrooms.
MANTLE DESIGN
When designing the fireplace surround, safety requirements as well as aesthetics must be considered. Often a central point of your home, this architectural element will be designed to complement the overall style of your home with proportion, scale, texture and safety requirements considered throughout the process.
Garage Door, Exterior Doors, and Window Design
The architectural elements on the exterior of your home should set the stage for the interior style one finds once they have entered the front door.
Electrical/Lighting Plan and Walkthrough
The plan will detail a range of lighting heights and locations as well as different brightness for both the exterior and interior of your new home. Recessed lighting complimented by sconces, bookshelf lighting, hanging fixtures, table and floor lamps and flush mounts, all have their place throughout your home. Providing lighting requirements, light switch and outlet placement to the contractor and electrician before the walls are in place ensures that all wires are where they need to be when it is time to install the fixtures.
